Senior District Reports:   

All the districts report good showing and festivals. Discussion regarding non playing clinics.  Oakmont Regional Director would like his students playing during the clinic.  

Secretary to write a letter to Jeff Holmes for his generosity in awarding several half and full scholarships to the Summer UMASS Jazz Camp in Amherst.

18 Bands participated.  Thank you to Jeff Holmes for awarding full and partial scholarships to the UMASS-Amherst Jazz Camp.

Southeast :  Steve Conant 

Some discussion regarding the reluctance of Adjudicators to Clinic the A Bands.

Cape Cod Coastal:  Russ Campoli 

10 Bands this year will be in Falmouth next year.

Choir/Combo Reports:  Dave Jost/Stan Ellis,Rich Falco   

22 groups are now registered for WPI now. including some new groups!!!  Sound people set up.   Mill City out of Lowell.  Discussion to change the Name “M.V.P.” Award to the Herb Pomeroy award.

 State Finals:  Dennis and Dave

There are 14 Bands in A Div. and 8 in the B DIv.

Judges for the A Div. are Pat Stout, Dave Burdet and Ted Levine

Tim Atherton, Tom Ferante,  Ed Orgil will judge B bands

School 3 miles apart rolling awards system.

Lowell State?  Discussion   should we go back.

Hatch Shell :May 10.  Showcase Concert: 12 to 3 PM  Gold medal winners  from state finals and  choir combo

Junior Festivals : Central Dennis Wrenn No Report

West - Luke Bailargeon, Nothing else yet

Adjudication: D. Bastarache  Will send list of Middle School Adjudicators.

QUESTION:  What happened to the the IAJE ALL STAR Adult Band?   Since coming to Boston,  Parking is an an issue.  Paul Combs.

Discussion  - Paul combs has a book for a  9 piece band.  Paul C is willing to bring the book.  

Possibility of setting up a reading clinic similar to the National Conference.   Kendor or Alfred publishers might be contacted.
